Korber wins the Grand Prix Art Award at the Malta Art Biennale

In 2001, Korber was awarded "The Grand Prix Art Award" in painting at the Malta International Art Biennale, Malta. It was the first time in over a decade that this honor had been awarded during the Malta International Art Biennale.

Over 800 artists from over 108 countries participated in this worldwide event. Korber's award-winning pyrotechnic work was on display during the Malta International Art Biennale in 2001.

The award ceremony was held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, in Valletta, Malta. Pictured at the awards ceremony are (from the left): Chevalier R.O. Schabbach (artist and international delegate of Malta International Art Biennale), Ralf Plien (Art Syndication, Germany), Michael Korber (Grand Prix winner), and Mr. Michael Peter Macy (the USA Embassy's Cultural Attache in Malta).
